Hey Democracy Unlimited volunteers -

We've got lots of ways to get involved this fall - please pitch in this
September to help us with upcoming events and excitement for local democracy
and people's power in Humboldt County!

**Pancake Breakfast! Sunday, September 16, Duck House in Eureka**
If you're willing to get up a little early on a Sunday, let us know - we need a
few folks to help get things going at the monthly Pancake Breakfast.  The setup
shift runs 9-11am, and the dishes shift runs 11am-1pm.  Free pancakes for your
time - let us know if you can help!

**250-Mile Potluck: Wednesday, September 19, Bayside Grange, 6pm**
Pitch in for local foods and local democracy at the 250-Mile Potluck - we need a
few good folks to help wash dishes and break down at this second annual feast of
fabulous local foods.  Contact us to sign up for a shift and help make this
event a success!

**North Country Fair: September 22-23, Arcata Plaza**
Volunteers needed to staff the DUHC info table during one of the most fun
festivals of the year!  Please contact us if you can pitch in a few hours
providing info and selling T-shirts at the North Country Fair - no experience
necessary.  Let us know if you can help, hours are 10am-6pm both days.

**Humboldt Exchange Open Meeting: September 24, Duck House in Eureka, 7pm**
Get involved in promoting Community Currency - this meeting is a chance to pitch
in on current efforts and help hatch new plans to improve the Humboldt Exchange.
 Snacks and good company to boot!  Contact us with questions or for more info.

**Ongoing: Volunteering during open hours**
Want to put in some time for democracy?  Whether you've got a few hours each
week, or just want to drop in, let us know - there's always something going on
at open hours and we could use your support.  Plus, we have a fabulous tea
selection =)  Give us a call to set up a time to come in and we'll plug you in!

**Ongoing: Postering for events**
Do you like to wander the streets and visit local businesses?  Why not take some
posters along with you - we've got a lot of events this fall and are looking for
folks to help put up posters in Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Fortuna, SoHum,
and on campus at HSU and CR.  Give us a call and we'll get you some posters!
