Hello all, I was curious to know if people where aware of Open Source
Software. I know that DUHC is very involved in informing people about
corporate rule, but I was wondering how many people were informed about the
use of corporate software. Sometimes people don't think about what type of
software they use when they are on a computer, as long as it works. But did
you know every time you use a computer with the windows operating system, or
type up a document on micro$oft word you are supporting a very large
cooperation?
Do not fret there is always a solution. FOSS(Free and open source software)
is an alternative to corporate software such as the windows operating
system. Open Source software is created and maintained by a community of
individuals that believe that software should be free and open. For more
information please visit: http://www.fsf.org/. If anybody is interested, I
would like to create some workshops or other programs to generate more
awareness of Open Source Software in the community. If anybody has any
questions or comments feel free to email me back
 thank you for listening,
  Eduardo Martinez
